A student wrote to Rinpoche about the disturbing thoughts and emotions which were causing her a lot of suffering. She was thinking about committing suicide to escape the terrible thoughts, fears and voices in her head.
Rinpoche was able to check and advised these practices:
- She needs to read the Sutra of Golden Light: ten times
- The Prajnaparamita: the collection of 8,000 verses in one volume (Tib: gyetongpa): to be recited three times
- She should recite the Dharani Extremely Conquering from Bondage mantra.
- Vajra Claws (Skt: Dorje Dermo): to be recited eleven times by the Kopan nuns
- Drugchuma [a puja to eliminate obstacles]: to be recited four times by the Kopan monks.
