HIV and Dharma Practice

Rinpoche gave the following advice to a student with HIV who had given the illness to someone else. Now that person was sick, and the student asked if it was more beneficial for him to care for the person or to study a five-year Buddhist Philosophy program.

Rinpoche gave the following advice to student who wrote saying he had HIV and asking what practices he could do to stop the virus.

Cured of AIDS

My dear one,Thank you for very much for your kind letter.It came out good to take Tibetan medicine: Tchen la, three pills a day for eight weeks; rinchen drang jor chenmo, two pills a week for nine weeks.

Regarding the difficulties with the center, you need an open heart; there are different views, so apply the views that are more beneficial. Like a road blocked by rocks, first you have to recognize the blocks so that you can clear them away.
