Dealing with Husband's Abuse

A student’s husband had become abusive and was threatening her. She asked Rinpoche whether to file for divorce, as it was becoming intolerable. Her husband had been abusive in the past and Rinpoche had helped at that time.

An Abusive Relationship

After being in an abusive relationship for some years, a woman had recently separated for her husband, after suffering physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. Rinpoche wrote her the following letter.

Marriage Difficulties

During a stay in Hong Kong, Rinpoche was hosted by a woman who was experiencing excessive strain in her marriage. According to her, the primary condition for the escalating tension between her and her husband seemed to be the financial difficulties her husband’s business was encountering.

Practices for Family Conciliation and Purification

A student asked Rinpoche what she could do to pacify her brother's aggressive behavior. For years he had been extremely hostile toward her and her mother. The student also asked what she could do for her elderly mother, who suffered from several illnesses and might not live long. Rinpoche gave this advice on extensive purification practices the student could do on their behalf.
