A mother has to bear great hardships for her child. She has to sacrifice many things. She has a lot of pain during childbirth, and she has to make many sacrifices day and night to look after the child.

You should have a clear goal as to your purpose in having a child. The purpose to have a child is to raise him or her with a good heart.

When you teach a course the aim is enlightenment, so even though the subject is the four foundations of mindfulness, the main emphasis should be sem sang-po, the good heart, so people understand that the aim of life is to benefit others.

1. KarmaThere are different ways of presenting karma; there are the four aspects and the 10 non-virtues, but another way of teaching karma is from the point of view of helping others by protecting their lives.

Offering centers qualified teachers, teaching the correct path to enlightenment, is one very powerful thing we can do for sentient beings. We are able to give sentient beings the correct path to enlightenment.
