Practices to Reduce Harm from Fire and Other Disasters

A fortune teller had predicted many imminent disasters related to fire in that year (2016). Rinpoche checked and advised these practices.
First, do these practices, which came out best:
- Golden Light Sutra: this comes out especially good to be read by students.
- Chanting the Names of Manjushri (Jampel Senjö): to be read by students.
- Eight Mahayana precepts: to be taken by students.
Also,
- Do the same prayers that Land of Medicine Buddha students are doing for protection against earthquakes (Ksitigarbha, etc).
- Have statues of the eight Taras made.
Rinpoche added Ksitigarbha prayers to the practices advised above and said after doing that [and dedicating for prevention of fire and natural disasters], students can add their own specific problems that they are having or want to guard against in the future.
