Not Following the Guru’s Advice
A student who had studied in India and helped in the centers for a number of years asked Rinpoche if she could work for him again in Asia. Rinpoche mentioned a center for her to go to, but she got into a relationship with a new partner instead. She apologized to Rinpoche and asked for his forgiveness.
My very dear one,
Thank you very much for your kind letter, I really respect and highly admire your sincerity and commitment and effort, and that so far you haven’t missed your prayer commitments. I really, really admire this; it really shows your sincerity and I want to thank you billions and billions of times.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I will inform you. I’m sorry it took a long time to reply to this email and that you tried to see me before and it wasn’t possible. But because of your faithful sincerity I keep you in my heart.
Prayers for you and thank you very, very much. The essence is to make your life most useful, you must study the lamrim, meditate on the lamrim and actualize the lamrim, develop guru devotion and live your life with bodhicitta as much as possible.
