A center director advised that a resident on the property may sue over the distribution of the water supply. The director said lengthy negotiations had failed, but he was trying to avert legal action by following the advice of a water supply specialist and a lawyer. Rinpoche gave the following advice to the center director.

My dear one,Just because you might have some problem with others, it doesn’t mean you always need to express it. Sometimes, it is more skillful not to express it, otherwise, you might get in a fight with others and this is not so helpful.

It is already a great success just to be able to work with your boss at all. She is doing the same job for you as a virtuous friend, or guru. A virtuous friend removes delusions.

For success, make water offerings, light offerings, and whatever other offerings you can, as many as possible, every day.
