Rinpoche wrote the following to a student who had many problems with his business and was losing money. The student now owed a lot of money and was desperate.

A new meditation group coordinator and student was having problems with her business. The business was not profitable and she was worried her financial backer would withdraw support. She had recited the Sanghata Sutra in her home and planned to recite it in the store, and she had also done prostrations to the Thirty-five Buddhas and the seven Medicine Buddhas. She wrote to Rinpoche requesting advice. His response is below.

A student in California had a business, but it was completely unsuccessful, and he kept losing money. He sought Rinpoche’s advice as to whether he should keep the business.

Turning Around Business Failure

A businessman wrote asking for Rinpoche’s guidance in dealing with a series of bitter disputes with former partners and employees. He also mentioned that one of his major business ventures had faced repeated obstacles and asked Rinpoche what to do about this. The businessman said that he was aware that he was the cause of his own problems, and wanted to purify this. He asked specifically how he could ensure that his future endeavors would be stable and profitable, to benefit others, not just himself. 

Financial Difficulties

A man in a very difficult financial situation needed to generate more profit from his business otherwise he would lose everything he owned. He asked Rinpoche for advice.
