I am sending a blessed photo of Medicine Buddha  to the Dharma center, for the man in a coma. When it arrives put the picture on the pillow above the man’s head.

In such situations, usually we perform a few pujas or ask a monastery to perform them and that’s all.I think Medicine Buddha puja is most important in this case. It should be done 30, 40, or 50 times, making strong prayers.

Rinpoche sent the following advice on cards to a student who suffered from migraines, and whose husband was suffering with Alzheimer’s.

The following pujas should be done for her:Dü kar: 150 times. To be done by the Gyurme Tantric College.Heart Sutra: 2,000 times.

I checked a number of times regarding your Mum's situation, and it is better for her to stay where she is. There is a slight possibility she could pass away soon, but it is still better for her to stay where she is.

A student wrote to Rinpoche about symptoms of dizziness, numbness and tingling on the top of his head. He also felt as if someone was sitting on his throat and chest. The symptoms occurred once or twice a week for a few minutes, but were increasing. The student, who was 36 years old, had a stroke at the age of seven, and now had epilepsy, a head injury and paralysis to his right side.

Animals have feelings. They have the same mind as we have, and also want happiness, like we do. For example, if you suddenly touch them, they are immediately frightened. They get frightened if somebody beats or hits them with a stick.

My very dear Martin,I have something to talk to you about, heart to heart, dealing with the suffering of animals. I heard that you have a pet snake, and that you have to feed the snake with mice.

“Please don’t hunt the animals. They also want happiness, and do not want suffering. Just like you, they do not want to be hunted.”
